Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Cubbylock is built around privacy, and this website follows the same rule: collect as little as possible, and say exactly what we collect.
This policy covers the website cubbylock.com. The Cubbylock iPhone app will have its own privacy policy, published before the app launches.
What we collect
If you join the early-access list, we store:
- your email address
- which page and button you signed up from (for example
/guides/secure-folder-iphone/) - the language of the page
- the date and time you signed up
When you visit any page, our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time). We use them only to keep the site running and secure, and delete them on a rolling basis. We also briefly keep your IP address in memory to block abuse of the signup form; it is not stored.
What we don’t do: we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, we don’t use third-party analytics on this website, and we don’t sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
Why we use it
- Your email address: to send you the App Store link when Cubbylock launches, and occasionally an important update about the app. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- Page, language and time: to understand which pages people find useful, in aggregate.
Where it is stored and for how long
Signup data is stored on servers we operate ourselves; it is not handed to an email marketing company. We keep it until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe, or until it is no longer needed for the launch announcement, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced to people on the early-access list.
